Active Shooter & Malicious Attack Coverage
In today’s world, businesses require protection for the unfortunate and heinous acts of domestic terrorism that can impact their team and operations. Breckenridge Insurance has partnered with an A.M. Best A rated carrier to offer necessary and tailored solutions in the event an active shooter or malicious attack occurs–including those from a “lone wolf”–to provide peace of mind when needed most.
- Involves the use of a firearm, hand held weapon or motor vehicle
- Is intended to harm another person or group of persons; and
- Is carried out or attempted by any person or group of persons acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organization
- Motive does not have to be political, religious, or ideological
- Malicious attacks are eligible for coverage
- Indemnity for business interruption
- Period of indemnity up to 180 days
- Indemnity for extra expenses to reduce BI loss
- An additional 90 days for extended period of indemnity
- Indemnity for crisis response, including up to:
- $250,000 for additional security
- $250,000 for counseling
- $250,000 for public relations
- Indemnity for ingress/egress income loss if shooting event occurs within one mile of insured’s location
- Indemnity for loss of attraction income loss (i.e.; reservation cancellations) if shooting event occurs within one mile of insured’s location
